Biography
French acousmatic composer Guy Reibel was born on October 27th 1936 in Strasbourg. He studied at the Paris Conservatory under Olivier Messiaen. He was one of the pioneering members of the Groupe de Recherches Musicales with Pierre Schaeffer, François Bayle, Luc Ferrari, François-Bernard Mâche, Iannis Xenakis, Bernard Parmegiani and Marcelle Deschênes. He has worked closely with several French public broadcasting stations such as France Musique and France Culture. The concept of the Omni is also cited to him.
