Biography
Italian composer and conductor Daniele Zanettovich was born in 1950 in Trieste. He began his career as a pianist, winning the Fourth National Festival of Student Pianists in La Spezia. Since the late 1960s, however, Zanettovich has worked primarily on composing. His composing career began in earnest after he was admitted to the final reading of the GB Viotti International Composition Competition three years in a row (1967-69). He is best known for his two-volume textbook which is still used by composition schools in Italy today.
