Summary
Jerome Moross was an American composer of film, television, concert music, and musical theater. He also orchestrated scores for other composers. In the 1940s he began to work in Hollywood, California, where he composed the scores for sixteen films between 1948 and 1969. His best-known film score is that for the 1958 movie The Big Country, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Score.
