Biography

My time as a student at the C.v.O. University in Oldenburg was characterized by an intensive search, because what was closest to me seemed so far away. So I did a lot... worked as a DJ, as a sound and lighting technician, graphic designer, organizer, founded a company, assembled computers and sold audio cables... In 2000 I produced my first studio album with my band Mercurio and built up a small studio within the Newton Tonstudios Oldenburg in the following period.

I then submitted my first orchestral piece, at the same time my final project in composition in 2003, to the international competition UNISONG in the USA... and won first place for best instrumental composition. This experience brought a decisive turning point, because it brought the option into the focus of my consciousness that what I had always done on the side could somehow be my vocation.

At the same time, a spiritual awareness awoke in me, and the questions of meaningfulness and fulfillment came more and more to the fore. In the following years, I freed myself more and more from professional distractions and ideas, tested my ability as a composer in a few competitions and – after moving to Berlin in 2005 – dared to take the plunge into being a musician without a double bottom in 2006.

The first period was characterized by smaller film music commissions and band projects. In 2008/2009 I initiated the peace project Varus Symphony, and composed a "hybrid" symphony for musicians of different levels from students to orchestral professionals, in which 240 musicians from the Osnabrück region took part and which the conductor Heiko Maschmann brought to the stage in 2 large performances.

After a chamber music composition commission for the setting of poems by Alfred Gong in 2010, I founded the label Soulfruit-Connection together with Inga Stendel, under which I release audio productions that seem to me to be conducive to the promotion of consciousness and heart qualities.
