Programme Note
In "Formless” I wanted to create a dark, primordial sonic bath out of which certain musical forms could be born, live and disappear. Some sonic events, like the melody in the strings, exist for the duration of the piece, others come and go rather quickly and are only flashes of light that serve to illuminate the murky electronic texture.
