Malcolm Arnold New Recordings
Fine Arts Brass has recently recorded the complete brass chamber music of Malcolm Arnold. The disc, which is released on Nimbus, features Arnold’s Quintet Op. 73 and Little Suites Nos. 1, 2 and 3. It was praised by Gramophone magazine, which noted “Arnold knew everything there was to know about the brass family” and lauded the composer’s “meticulous craftsmanship”.

Also newly available is a selection of works by Malcolm Arnold, including his Inn of the Sixth Happiness Suite, performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and released on its own label. The performances, conducted by Vernon Handley, were recorded live at the Royal Festival Hall, London, in 2004. Visit the London Philharmonic Orchestra website for more information.
