Inaugurated in 2007 with the appointment of Osvaldo Golijov, the Mostly Mozart Composer-in-Residence for 2008 will be Kaija Saariaho. Alongside orchestral and chamber music, the festival presents the US premiere of La Passion de Simone , Saariaho’s oratorio based on the life and writings of the philosopher Simone Weil.
