Tarik O’Regan – new choral publications
29th August 2008
Two Settings of Emily Dickinson was written with the intention of forming a prelude and postlude which symmetrically frame a concert programme, each featuring a solo soprano and tenor.
Tal vez tenemos tiempo (‘Maybe we have time’) is a setting of Pablo Neruda, its simple homophonic textures allowing the natural rhythm of the poetry to dominate.
“Tal vez tenemos tiempo was elegant and provocative.” Charles Ward, Houston Chronicle, 1 October 2007
Both pieces were written for the American choir Conspirare and are featured on the choir’s all-O’Regan disc Threshold of Night released on 8 September.
These pieces are available to order from your local music retailer or direct from www.musicroom.com
