The world premiere recording of Richard Blackford’s reworking of Wagner themes from Die Meistersinger A Portrait of Hans Sachs is now available to purchase from www.oboeclassics.com. The wind quintet was written to celebrate the 60th birthday of the late Bernard Levin and appears on the Oboe Divas! disc alongside other operatic duos and ensembles. The disc features oboists Emily Pailthorpe and Elaine Douvas together with members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and the London CONCHORD Ensemble.
