At the end of November, Deutsche Grammophon will release a new CD featuring the Piano Concerto by Esa-Pekka Salonen and also his works Helix and Dichotomie . Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts the Los Angeles Philharmonic, with soloist Yefim Bronfman (who premiered the piano concerto in 2007 and to whom the work is dedicated).

During December the Piano Concerto receives its German, Dutch and French premieres. Salonen and Bronfman will perform the Piano Concerto with the NDR Sinfonieorchester (December 5 and 7, Hamburg; December 6, Lubeck), and with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (December 11 and 12, Amsterdam). The work receives its French premiere with Mikko Franck conducting Yefim Bronfman and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France on December 19 in Paris.
