Songs of the Sky

O’Regan’s Rai takes its title from the French-Algerian folk pop/folk-rap genre and was written for the ensemble in 2007.
Songs of the Sky by John Tavener was composed in response to the 2004 tsunami in the Indian Ocean and draws on elements from the American Indian, Zen Buddhist and Hindu traditions.
