On September 3, cellist Natalie Clein with the Britten Sinfonia will be giving the European premiere of Popule Meus at the BBC Proms. Natalie is a great exponent of Tavener’s music and this latest work for solo cello, strings and timpani makes a great addition to the catalogue and her repertoire alongside The Protecting Veil.
