Alberto Iglesias Honoured

The winners of the 2012 World Soundtrack Awards were announced at the closing event of the 39th Annual Ghent Film Festival.

Photo by Film Festival Ghent Alberto Iglesias was highlighted as Film Composer of the Year 2012, for his soundtracks for “Le Moine” (“The Monk”), “La Piel Que Habito” (“The Skin I Live In”) and “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy”. He also went home with the award for Best Original Film Score of the Year for “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.”
Iglesias received additional accolades from the Valladolid International Film Festival who awarded him the Spikes of Honour at their 57th Festival. The award was given in celebration of his professional career and invaluable contribution to Spanish cinema.
