Volans premieres

The world premiere of Calefaccion, a 10 minute work for oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, soprano saxophone and bassoon takes place in Rotterdam on October 11, performed by the Calefax Reed Quintet. The ensemble then tour the work around The Netherlands, giving performances on October 12, 18 and 19.

Volans' large ensemble piece from 2012 Looping Point receives its US premiere on November 3 at the Julliard School of Music performed by the New Julliard Ensemble conducted by Joel Sachs.

On October 5, Colin Currie will be part of a performance of Chakra at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London as part of  METAL, WOOD, SKIN: THE COLIN CURRIE PERCUSSION FESTIVAL
