Benet Casablancas’s works for piano solo have been premiered and performed by numerous pianists worldwide. His piano opus counts with more than twenty works composed during the last thirty years. They form a personal diary, which takes us to the composer’s creative inner world and to a journey of his artistic evolution.
On 8th December at Teatre Principal of Mallorca, Casablancas is receiving an homage in form of a monographic concert including UME works Haiku para Zurbaran, Jubilus, Lamento, Sí, a Montsalvatge!, Tres Haiku (de la segunda colección) and Una página per Chopin.
Casablancas literature for this instrument is far from reaching its end. Thus, on 20th January 2016, Capriccio. Una pàgina per Granados will be world premiered at Barcelona’s Palau de la Música Catalana. This and other future premieres will celebrate the composer’s 60th anniversary in 2016.
