Signe Lykke and Bent Sørensen win this year’s Carl Prisen.
Bent Sørensen wins Composer of the Year – Small ensemble for Doppelgänger and Signe Lykke wins Composer of the Year – Big ensemble for her opera Nordkraft.
Carl Prisen is awarded by the Danish Music Publishers’ Association. The prize was founded in 2013 and named after composer Carl Nielsen. Prizes are awarded to composers and songwriters in 15 different categories spanning different music genres.
Nordkraft was also nominated for a Reumert Award (Denmark’s Theatre Award) in the category Opera of the Year.
