The music of Sarah Kirkland Snider returns to the Tanglewood and Aspen Music Festivals in 2024. Her orchestral work Forward Into Light is performed by Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra on July 14, and by Cristian Măcelaru and the Aspen Chamber Symphony on August 16. The Boston Symphony Orchestra performance broadcasts on WCRB at 7p EDT on July 14, 2024.

On July 13 at Aspen, Will Liverman and Renée Fleming perform the world premiere of Everything that Ever Was, a song cycle by Snider set to a poem by Tracy K. Smith.

On August 1, the Manchester Music Festival unveils a commissioned new arrangement of Snider’s Drink the Wild Ayre for strings and harp.

Snider’s Mass for the Endangered continues to be one of the most enduring chorus and orchestra pieces in the contemporary repertoire. This summer, it is performed at the Oregon Bach Festival June 30 under the direction of Craig Hella Johnson, and at the Three Choirs Festival in the United Kingdom with Samuel Hudson conducting.
