Erkki-Sven Tüür's Aditus will receive its UK premiere on July 29 at the Proms, performed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra with Paavo Järvi at the baton. Aditus ('entrance' or 'approach') is a sizzling concert opener of existential, expressionistic drama, in this case leading the way for Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 featuring soloist Yunchan Lim, with Bruckner's first Symphony closing out the concert.
