Reverie, a new work by Sally Beamish for cellist Benjamin Kruithof and pianist Marco Sanna, has its World Premiere at the Cologne Philhamonie on Sunday September 22. Commissioned specially for ECHO Rising Stars artist Benjamin Kruithof by Philharmonie Luxembourg, Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the European Concert Hall Organisation in the framework of their Rising Stars programme. The work will have performances across Europe during the 2024/2025 Season. Sally Beamish was inspired by Benjamin’s description of the tranquillity he finds when in his homeland – the lakes and rivers, green hills and birdsong of Luxembourg.
