Carola Bauckholt’s new work Coo-Cooooo-Coo? Where, where? will have its world premiere on September 27 at Bludenzer Tage Zeitgemäßer Musik (Austria). The piece for voice, violin and animation was created in close collaboration with animator Elizabeth Hobbs and is dedicated to Juliet Fraser (voice) & Hannah Weirich (violin) who will perform the premiere.
Inspired by the living creatures of Doggerland, a vast ‘Garden of Eden’ that once connected the east coast of England with the European mainland, music and animation reflect on the struggle for survival of individuals and the ecosystem upon which we depend.
Coo-Cooooo-Coo? Where, where? is supported by an artist grant as part of the NRW Corona Aid program as well as the Ernst von Siemens Foundation.
