Bryce Dessner is the guest of honour at Brussels' Ars Musica festival 2024.
Founded in 1989 in Brussels, Ars Musica is an international contemporary music festival. Along the years, their programmes have included featured prestigious composers as Laurie Anderson, Luciano Berio, Philippe Boesmans, Pierre Boulez, Philip Glass, Gÿorgy Ligeti, Thierry De Mey, Steve Reich and Iannis Xenakis, among others.
Bryce Dessner’s music will be highlighted in three exciting performances that include a performance by The Dream House Quartet, a performance of his Impermanence/Disintegration and an orchestral portrait concert.
The orchestral portrait concert includes the Belgian premieres of his St Carolyn by the Sea, Violin Concerto and Piano Concerto. Earlier this month, Bryce Dessner’s Piano Concerto will also receive it’s French Premiere by Alice Sara Ott and Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France at Maison de la Radio.
