Rachel Portman has been commissioned by the Royal Albert Hall to create a new arrangement of the much-loved carol Silent Night. A run of 16 premiere performances takes place this Christmas from Saturday December 14 – Tuesday December 24.
The Royal Choral Society, The National Youth Choir of Great Britain and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra are conducted by Richard Cook. These special concerts have become a festive favourite over the years and 2024 is no exception. Each show will feature a presenter and soloist who will bring many well-known carols to life. This year the events will be presented by Jess Gillam and Greg Beardsell.
