The Parisian contemporary music festival AGORA runs this year from 1st to 17th June, and on 9th June the Norwegian BIT20 ensemble is premiering Asbjørn Schaathun’s violin concerto Double Portrait with Pierre-André Valade as conductor and Ernst Kovacic as soloist. This new version of Double Portrait was commissioned by IRCAM and Radio France, which is broadcasting the concerto. BIT20 will also be performing the work at this year’s Ultima Festival in Oslo in October.
