Last June, Joan Tower and Nashville Symphony artistic advisor Leonard Slatkin tipped their hats to audience members after Nashville’s “hard-hat” concert performance of Made in America. The program was the orchestra’s tribute to the builders of their new Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Naxos recorded the concert for the Nashville Symphony’s upcoming all-Tower CD. Tower returns to Nashville this month, as part of their new “American Encores” series, where they present her latest work Chamber Dance, which premiered in May at Carnegie Hall by the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
