Programme Note
Mountain Airs is a free adaptation of two traditional Scottish melodies. It lasts about four minutes and falls into three distinct sections; the scoring if for flute, oboe and clarinet in A. It was written for the British group Sounds Positive directed by Avril Anderson and David Surtton-Anderson; and first performed by them in 1988.
