Programme Note
Ave Regina caelorum,
Ave Domina Angelorum,
Salve radix, salve porta,
Ex qua mundo lux est orta.
Ave Domina Angelorum,
Salve radix, salve porta,
Ex qua mundo lux est orta.
Gaude, Virgo gloriosa,
Super omnes speciosa,
Vale, O valde decora!
Et pro nobis Christum exora.
Hail, Queen of Heaven,
Hail, Mistress of the Angels,
Hail, root of holiness, hail gate
From whom light has risen on the world;
Rejoice, glorious Virgin
Beautiful above all others;
Farewell, most fair one,
And pray to Christ for us.
