        Programme Note

         The program music "Fire Dance" is the first part of an overall composition that deals with the elements of fire, water, air and earth and musically translates associations and images on the theme of "fire". Originally conceived as a university thesis with Prof. Violetta Dinescu, the work won the Unisong Award 2003 in the category "Best Instrumental Piece" at the composers' competition of the US Song Awards. Professional and amateur orchestras can captivate and inspire their audiences with this work.
