Dance Mantra (1992)
(for six or more voices (SSATBB) and Drum(s))- Wise Music G. Schirmer Australia Pty Ltd (World)
Programme Note
Dance Mantra is designed as a cyclical chant which may be repeated as many times as desired. It should begin very quietly and gradually crescendo to a vociferous climax. Any number of voices may be used in multiples of the original six. A large chorus may be divided and separated for antiphonal effect, the drum(s) positioned in the centre. Where large forces are involved a gradual build-up of intensity from (e.g.) a solo soprano singing the opening statement has been found to be effective.
